Overview: Celestians are a race of reclusive, mysterious, angel-like creatures who dwell within the moon, with the duty of guarding Earth from outside threats. They wield magic of unspeakable power, and are rarely seen by humans or other Earth-dwellers.
The appearance of Celestians are initially almost identical to angels, minus the halo. However, should a Celestian perform wicked or evil actions, their body will deteriorate accordingly. For example, should one Celestian kill another, and by extent have 'the blood of the killed on their hands', the skin of their hands would slightly decay into a rotted state, and their nails become a bloody black.
Each Celestian posesses a unique Neyumé, a sword-like weapon that serves as an extension of their form, a manifestation of their power, and in some cases, a conduit to channel their power through. The Neyumé are essentially a part of the Celestians and normally cannot be wielded by others.
History: In recent years, one of the Celestians, Caliban, suggested that they take over Earth and make its residents their slaves. His request refused, Caliban sought darkness that would be sympathetic to his own ideals, and discovered a dark presence, with a Ponylike form imprisoned in the Moon's deepest depths. The entity promised Caliban the power he desired in exchange for setting it free. Complying, Caliban received a fraction of the Dark Entity's power, and declared war on the rest of his kind, recruiting fellow Celestians who supported his cause, and slaughtering those who refused. However, one young female Celestian, 10-year-old Serafina, fought back against Caliban, driving him away, and fled down to Earth, where she went into hiding. Her current whereabouts are unconfirmed.
